ORWA Annual Technical
Conference & Exposition
April 18-20, 2017
ORWA's Annual Technical Conference & Exposition is the Event of the Year. It is held each year in the month of April, and alternates annually between the Oklahoma City area and the Tulsa, Ok. area.
This event is attended by over 700 water and wastewater professionals, directors, board members and agency personnel..
The event starts off with a golf tournament in the morning of the first day.
The ORWA Annual Meeting and Business Meeting are also held that day along with the Water Taste Test preliminaries.
That evening, there is lots of fun and food to be had at a Meet and Greet Social in the Exhibit Hall, with as many as 100 vendors exhibiting the latest products and technologies available in the industry.
The second day begins with an Opening Session featuring an entertaining and/or motivational speaker.
Next, is a General Session featuring updates of new policies and/or regulations from State and Federal funding and regulatory agencies.
Five or six tracts of training follow, with as many as 24 different educational sessions to pick and choose from.
A PAC (Political Action Commitee) luncheon is held at noon with legislative updates from our Senators or Legislators. Proceeds go toward ORWA's legislative efforts.
Day two concludes with an Awards Dinner honoring the oustanding water and wastewater systems and professionals from around the State.
Day three begins with four or five concurrent breakout sessions, followed by a PAC Auction and box lunch. The conference concludes with a drawing for a Grand Prize.
All sessions count for Rural Water District and Rural Water Corporation Board Member Training and ODEQ continuing education for all Certified Operators.
